2025 REGIONAL PROGRAM

AHEAD Program

The AHEAD Program aims to increase student aspiration for higher education by offering university pathway information and support.

Since 2014, AHEAD have delivered a range of educational initiatives to Year 7-12 students most likely to uptake an academic pathway. In partnership with the PKUC, the program is now available to schools in the Pilbara and Kimberley regions.

AHEAD activities focus on building students’ confidence in their abilities, identifying post-school pathways, practising study skills, and understanding the variety of pathways into Australian universities.

The project is federally funded through the Higher Education Participation and Partnership Program (HEPPP) and based at Curtin University.

The program has 5 seperate workshops targeted at students from years 8-12. 

PKUC is currently providing this program at the following schools:

Broome

  • St Lukes College
