The Pilbara and Kimberley University Centres (PKUC) has been working closely with Curtin University over the last few months to develop and refine region-specific content for the AHEAD program. This program, delivered to students in years 7-12, provides comprehensive and interactive information about possible pathways to university.
In the introductory sessions for years 7-9, students are encouraged to focus on their strengths and transferable skills, identifying different careers where these skills could be applied. The workshops include interactive activities designed to spark students' imaginations.
Subsequent sessions for years 10-12 delve deeper into aspects of university life and various pathway options, including direct entry, TAFE, and life experience. These sessions guide students through the application processes and inform them about available support.
The PKUC is very pleased to now offer this program to students throughout the Pilbara and Kimberley at the following schools.

- St Mary's college Broome
Fitzroy Crossing
